Pokémon Emerald is the last game in the third generation of Pokémon games, and the third counterpart of Ruby and Sapphire. The game combined the previous games stories, so both evil teams and both legendaries have a bigger significance. Pokémon sprites move now, like in Pokémon Crystal, and some other changes were made as well. It was the third best-selling game on the GBA, losing only to the other Pokémon games.
