Driver.8 Ford IDS and Ford-VCM OBD comparison. Hello John I did install the Ford IDS software and when I received that message I believe there was an option to bypass it or ignore it. I was able to continue the install.
OBDTOOLtoday has released the newestFordVCM 2 IDS V98.01. And IDS 98.01 installation is offered by obdtoolcustomer service. Hope this helps.

Step1 Install IDS V81
Step3 Install IDS V98
Step5 Install Deep Freeze
Detailedinstruction:
Goto Date and Time Properties/Internet Time, to cancel selection of'Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server'
Step1 Install IDS V81
Click'Calibrations'.
Click'Next'.
Installing...(30 min)
Click'Finish' when successfully install Calibration.
EjectIDS V81 DVD.
Step2 Install and run IDS V91
Open'Ford Mazda IDS V98(D:)/ids-v91.01_full'.
Select'Yes' to proceed.
Click'I accept....' and 'Next' to go on.
Click'Install' to begin installation.
Anicon of 'IDS' appeared on Desktop.
Successfullyinstall IDS, and click 'Reboot' to restart your computer.
OpenIDS on Desktop.
Select“dealer type” and “country”and click the tick button to continue.
Click“Continue” on IDS Software-ComputerDate Synchronization.
(NOTE:a non-renewable Evaluation License has been installed on your computer whichwill expire in 3 days)
Open'Ford Mazda IDS V98(D:)/IDS-v98.01_Full'.
Click“Next” to continue to update the installed version (90.01) of IDS to version98.01.

IDShas been updated to V98.01. Click “Reboot” to restart your computer.
Step4 IDS V98 test onMondeo 2011 MY
ConnectFord VCM II mux (version with wireless card) to the vehicle and install driver.
Open“IDS” on Desktop.
Goto Start New Session>>All other, click on the tick button.
Vehiclespecification, click Yes to go to.
SelectCMDTCs to continue.
ExitCMDTCs.
Goto Module Programming and click on the tick button.

SelectPowertrain>>Engine.
Exitand Delete session.

Open“DFStd” on IDS V98 (D:).
Click“I accept...agreement” to goon.
Open“DFStd_KEY” onfolder “DFStd”, to copy the license key for entering. Click Next.
ClickNext, with the only selection of C: (cancel ticks on D: & E:)
Thenrestart your computer after installation Deep Freeze.
